The Shadow Pandemic

In the simplest terms, the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) helps victims of sexual assault, abuse and violence become survivors. To live out its mission year-round, MOCSA relies on donations from its single largest annual fundraiser: The Community Luncheon.

But in 2021, the luncheon went virtual for a second consecutive year. To break through the community’s overwhelming cognitive load and digital fatigue, the creative needed to boldly contextualize MOCSA’s mission in the age of Covid.

In a year when donor attentions and resources were strained, donations increased by 6% over the previous year – allowing MOCSA to help 6,481 more people.
